Slugblaster has one of the most creative, vibrant settings I’ve come across–instantly gripping, an amazing bizarro nostalgic world to spend time in. Mechanics do a great job of contributing to this, like switching Forged in the Dark style clocks to the H-O-R-S-E system of 90s-kid playground basketball.

In the small town of Hillview, teenage hoverboarders sneak into other dimensions to explore, film tricks, go viral, and get away from the problems at home.
It’s dangerous. It’s stupid. It’s got parent groups in a panic. And it’s the coolest thing ever.
This is Slugblaster Turbo.
Slugblaster Turbo is a rules-light ttrpg designed specifically for one-shots and online play. It uses a stripped down version of the Forged in the Dark engine, modified to power looking cool, doing tricks, and fast paced laser-fantasy action in general.
Who Will You Be?
You play a crew of teenage hoverboarders trying to make a name for yourselves in the world of slugblasting. Will you be a gutsy rich kid with a pair of signature jet shoes? A chill loser with a lovable robot sidekick and strict parents? A meta-dimensional princess with a negafriction katana? Mix and match elements to craft your character.
What Will You Do?
Blow off school and sesh the abandoned mall in Vastiche. Get the Miper sponsorship by speedrunning Prismatia. Salvage power-crystals from the mossy decommissioned gundamn in The Golden Jungle. Just be sure to do it before the demi-plane melts, before a metasaur eats your face, before Rescue tases you and throws you in decontamination, and before your mom finds out.
Built For Online Play
Slugblaster Turbo was designed specifically for online play. The entire game is built inside a shared google spreadsheet which includes all the rules, playbooks, dice rollers, shared progress tracks, and a giant GM screen packed with monster generators and other goodies. Share the link with your group and start blasting.
There is also now a PDF version, designed to be printed.
Built for One-Shots
Slugblaster Turbo is a flavor-packed one-shot experience. The rules are simple, character creation is fast, and the GM screen is filled with starting premises and hooks to get things moving right out of the box. And the epilogue rules make sure what happens during the session actually matters. Every close call, every cool trick, it all affects your character's closing scenes.

Makes me nostalgic for a childhood I never had!
I have played this many times during Conventions.
Its fun, lets you explore your imagination and create worlds to play as a teen who just wants to get the follows and likes. Or make it big with the Sponsors and get fly gear.
I've played this game several times now, in beta and with the Turbo rules. It allows for some stress free RP where players can explore a limitless universe with the aim of having fun and enjoying life.
